Politics as we know it

I'm sitting here in the middle of the night, sick
yes,
sick of people talking politics as it becomes their new religion
they blame each other and blindly support their candidates
they turn discussions into insults and disrespectful actions
Now what?
Everybody yells at each other
They fighting for a position that won't get them anything, not even money
But they act madly, hitting each other and spreading lies everywhere
only to find that we're all being fooled by a front page appearance
They gather all supporting testimonies they can get
from so-called influential people

Am I the only one that tired of seeing this every single day?
I mean, we are all brothers and sisters
Why we have to turn our alumni election into something dirty like politics as we know it?

i'm trying hard to ignore it, but still
They're going to lined up and flood my timeline and feeds
So, I'm not going to do anything
I'm just going to see and drink my juice in front of my PC
Let's see what they can do about our almamater
Let's see if they even as good as they promise in their campaign
They're old anyway, but still willing to do fool things themselves

Now, it's late
and I'm desperately trying to sleep
